I started this post this morning thinking, heh heh, I’m so clever, I saw this cute jacket at J. Crew yesterday and it’s a little chilly today and what a more perfect way to tie the two together than a post about field jackets, but what I didn’t realize was that it was going to be more than just a little chilly. I don’t just need a jacket – I need a parka, a down puffer, a full blown snow suit! At one point this afternoon the girls and I were lying out at the beach and our chairs were all rattling their own symphony to our pathetic little shivers.

Thankfully, it looks like the weather will be nicer the rest of the week (especially if I can find a way to bribe mother nature to make the wind die down a little bit). And these ladies are all so wonderful and hilarious that I’d be having a great time in Antarctica (actually we are all such fabulous whiners that vacation scenario might turn into a full on fiasco). I’m having just the best time lounging around like a slug, running on the beach, biking to Starbucks, feasting on fresh shrimp, getting my ab workout from laughing so hard.

And you too can fit right in to our sleepy little beach hideaway by either a) wearing oversized sweatshirts, Nike shorts, and big pearls b) bringing along a space heater c) paying the low price of 19.95 plusshippingandhandling or d) buying one of these cute jackets (there, I tried)!
